Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City is 150 years young this year! We are celebrating and want to invite the whole community to join us on Sunday, August 14th! What better way to cap off another great Schweizer Fest than to celebrate with your friends and family at EUCC?
Celebration Sunday will start with our 10:00 am Worship Service in the Sanctuary that will include the welcoming of new members into the congregation. There will be historical displays in the church before and after Worship. A historical pamphlet of EUCC is also being prepared for publication.
At 2:00 pm, our 150th Anniversary Worship Service will begin with a message from a guest minister. The EUCC Chancel Choir will lead us in song and Dr. Gene Ress will lead the church in a special singing of “Jesus Loves Me” in German. “Sisters in Song” will share their amazing gift of song and the EUCC Bell Choir will also perform. There will be a time for rededication and inspiration to look toward to the future as well as the dedication of a time capsule containing items created since our 125th celebration 25 years ago.
After the 150th Anniversary Worship Service, there will be an old-fashioned pitch-in church dinner for the whole community that will be topped off with 150 dozen homemade cookies made by our members. Unique keepsake placemats are being created that will show images from throughout our church history. The whole community is invited to all the festivities! EUCC is located at 802-10th Street, Tell City.
