Opportunities to Serve

Evangelical United Church of Christ is governed by the Church Council that is made up of nine members of the church who serve 3 year terms.  These members also serve as a Representative of the Church Council on each committee or ministry team to ensure good communication between the Council and Church Committees and Teams.

Our Church Committees and Ministry Teams are comprised of members of the church who desire to serve the Lord by working together to carry out the work of our church.  Members may volunteer for any of the following Committees or Ministry Teams:

Nomination Committee – recruits potential Church Council members and encourages congregation members to serve on Church Committees and Ministry Teams

Benevolent Fund Committee – maintains all hospital equipment that is loaned out to the community free of charge

Building and Grounds Committee – responsible for the maintenance and repair of all church own property

Church and Ministry Committee – cultivates a healthy and effective pastoral relationship between the minister and the congregation

Finance and Stewardship Committee – prepares the operating budget for the church and conducts an annual Stewardship Campaign to ensure the church’s ability to carry out its program and pay all bills

Christian Education Team – responsible for planning a comprehensive Christian Education program for all ages

Church Growth and Mission Team – provides programs to foster spiritual growth within the church membership

Communication and Technology Team – oversees the maintenance of the church’s technology and cultivates all methods of communication with our members and local community

Fellowship Team – plans fellowship activities that enrich our church family
