Thank you for supporting the ministry of Evangelical United Church of Christ. Our ministries help share God’s Love and impact hundreds of people in our community each year. Our church programs and outreach services are only possible with your generosity.
Give NowMany congregation members support the life of the church through annual pledges, while others prefer to donate at Sunday services as they see fit. Every autumn we conduct a pledge drive to inspire congregation members to commit to support the church financially in the coming year. These pledges are not binding, but most members take them seriously and follow them closely. Our popular automatic donation option accounts for about 20% of our weekly offerings. Memorial contributions are another popular way to donate and can be directed to specific funds using the list of options printed on memorial envelopes, that are available at local funeral homes or from the church office.
If you’re interested in helping with fundraising, we’d love to have you! Contact the church office and we’ll direct you to the right people.
Envelopes are provided at the funeral home during visitation and services for congregation members, or you can mail your contribution to the church office.
Planned gifts enable individuals to support EUCC even after their lifetime. It is a great way to create a meaningful legacy and help for generations to come.
There are several ways to structure your planned gift:
Did you know that currently, tax law allows you to give a gift directly to the church from your IRA that is tax free. In other words, if you have your IRA pay directly to the church, and it does not pass through your hands, you do not pay tax on it.

Monetary contributions cover church expenses and fund charitable programs that benefit the wider Tell City area community. Our Local Emergencies Fund helps local citizens with urgent expenses such as utility bills or enough gasoline to get to work until payday. The Benevolent Fund loans out free home health care equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers to anyone who needs it. Donations can be directed to a specific program (building maintenance, Local Emergencies Fund, etc.) or contributed to the church’s General Operations Fund to be used in any way that’s most needed.
EUCC is a member of the United Church of Christ and a portion of gifts help the Special Mission Offerings. These gifts sponsor vital ministries that bring hope to people in the U.S. and around the world. Our church has identified four areas where critical human needs exist:
OCWM Basic support enables associations, conferences, the national setting, and some of our affiliated partners to continue providing the care and services that are vital to the United Church of Christ. OCWM Basic support is generally given at local churches, where the funds are then sent to their associations and conferences before being forwarded to the national offices in Cleveland. (Individual donors are encouraged to give through their local churches for Our Church’s Wider Mission Basic Support)
One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) works with international partners to provide sources of clean water, food, education and health care, small business micro-credit, advocacy and resettlement for refugees and displaced persons and emergency relief and rehabilitation. OGHS also supports domestic and international ministries for disaster preparedness and response.
Neighbors in Need supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States, including the Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM), justice and advocacy, and direct service projects supported by Justice and Local Church Ministries.
This offering is received on First Sunday of October as part of World Communion Sunday.
